Fishing Report – August 1st 2014

Steelhead fishing is underway for the the month with the opening of our fall salmon fishery for Chinook and Coho opening on August 25th.  Some nice Steelhead are entering the river now  as they move in with Sockeye into the Stamp River. Aggressive in nature, they will not disappoint when one gets on the line. Light tackle is a lot of fun as the summer runs are very unpredictable and each one may pose a different fight.

Fall salmon for Chinook and Coho is just around the corner starting August 25th. I was at a Fisheries meeting yesterday and got confirmation for retention for Chinook this year as well as Coho. We saw some incredible days last year and are looking for the same as this season approaches. We do have some dates still available and you won’t want to miss out. Call for availability and we can set up your trip. Come fish with us as we are entering our 24th year guiding on local rivers. Our experience is key in making your experience from fun to great! Looking forward to fish with you. Nick Hnennyj, Owner/Operator of West Coast River Charters. 1-250-720-5449.   Updates are on my Facebook page. (West Coast River Charters)
